The ZTE Axon Mini has been giving its users the Marshmallow treatment till now. And all of a sudden, it is getting a jump directly to Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The 5.2-inch mid-range smartphone has a bigger brother (ZTE Axon 7) which got the same update in March this year.
ZTE also started a beta testing program for the Axon Mini back in March to iron out bugs and test the new firmware features. now we finally have a usable build. The Android 7.1.1 update will bring all the goodies of Nougat like split-screen support, quick notification reply, an enhanced Doze mode and much more. While Android 7.1.1 will add its nifty features like app shortcuts and updated emojis. ZTE has also thrown in T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling support that will allow calls and texts without the use of mobile data.
You can go to Settings -> System Update to find the update. It will definitely be big in size. So charge up your phones to full. Take full backups in case something goes wrong. And connect to a reliable Wi-Fi and Enjoy.
