Sony recently announced via Twitter, that a new firmware update will be rolling any time now, for the Xperia Z1 and the Z Ultra. Though it is not the KitKat update that most of the users were waiting for.
So this is not a big update as it does not pack the KitKat flavour with it, but still it brings some features and tweaks via the Air. According to the company, it brings display, BT music streaming, email, Wi-Fi improvements and also much more. The update would be rolling gradually, so it might take some time to reach your Status bar.
Also the update brings with a new feature in the display settings named as “White Balance” that was earlier spotted on the Xperia Z1 Compact. It allows you to tweak the individual colour channels, thus allowing you to get a perfect colour balance. The update is only available via the Sony’s PC Companion and Mac Bridge and it might take a little more time via the OTA to reach you.
