Xolo recently unveiled two new phones which run on Android Kitkat 4.4: the quad-core Q500s IPS and the Play 6X-1000 with the hexa-core processor. Below are some of the specs of the two devices:
Xolo Q500s IPS
The device boasts of a 4″ display offering WVGA resolution and a 5 MP shutter on its back that is capable of recording videos upto 1080 p. Xolo Q500s IPS is powered by a 1500 mAh battery which is not much but is decent considering the phone’s price. Under the hood you’ll find a MediaTek’s MT6582M working side by side with a 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 processor, Mali-400 GPU along with 512MB of RAM. The device also offers 4 GB of storage memory which is expandable via an external microSD card. In terms of connectivity the device offers dual-SIM connectivity, 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS.
The Q500s is being offered for Rs. 5,999 which would cost you about $100 and you can get one in an array of colors which include black, white, red, green and blue.
Xolo Play 6X-1000
This device, which has better specs than the Q500s boasts of a bigger 5″ IPS display screen that offers a resolution of 720 p along with an 8 MP auto-focus shutter on the back with 1080 p video recording. The powerhouse is a 2,100 mAh battery which seems sufficient to keep you going. Under the hood you’ll find a MediaTek MT6591 chipset working with a hexa-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A7 processor, Mali-450GPU along with 2GB of RAM. Xolo Play 6X-1000 offers 8 GB of expandable storage memory and in terms of connectivity you’ll get the same features as the Q500s.
The device is being sold for Rs. 14,499 which translates to about $241 and is available in black and white color schemes. Recently Xolo 1010i received Android 4.4.2 Kitkat.
