In the recent past, Xiaomi has been actively working on pushing software updates to all their eligible devices. The latest smartphone to join the club is Redmi K20, which is also sold as Mi 9T in other markets. The device seems all set and ready to get MIUI 12 stable update based on Android 10. The company already pushed out this update to their flagship, Mi 10 series a while ago. It is to note that Mi 10 series along with Poco F2 Pro is also scheduled to get Android 11 Beta 1 update in the coming days/weeks.
Coming back to MIUI 12 update on Redmi K20/ aka Mi 9T, the OTA update is available for the Chinese variant as firmware version V12.0.1.0.QJBCNXM. Since the update is already live in China, it should not take too long for the company to roll out the update in India and other markets. While there are no specific details or changelog released by the company for this update, we all know this is based on Android 10. Therefore, we have a basic idea of what all changes/improvements this update brings to the table.
Xiaomi must be working to roll out the MIUI 12 update to the next set of devices that are not limited to but include Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 7S, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 9, Poco F1, and Poco X2 with a lot of other devices.
