The Chinese brand, Xiaomi is overwhelmed with the sales record in 2017. The company which had a strong base in its own home country as well as in India. It claims that it had shipped 70 Million smartphones so far in this year. Keep in mind that, still two more months to go, and the figure ought to rise in the coming months. Literally, it’s tremendous achievement and just short of 1 million compared to its previous record of 71 Million shipments in a year.
Xiaomi also revealed that it has achieved over 10 million shipments in September as well as in October. Regarding the September and October shipments, Donovan Sung, the company’s global spokesperson tweeted as follows – “Xiaomi’s smartphone shipments in October surpassed 10 million units, for the second month in a row. Onward and upward!”
Although, it’s quite sure that Xiaomi will set a new record at the end of this year, the firm is looking forward to next year. Lei Jun, Founder and current CEO of Xiaomi is foreseeing or expecting an incredible 100 million shipments in 2018.
Recently, Counterpoint Research’s Market Monitor service had crowned Xiaomi as the fastest growing brand in terms on shipments year-on-year (over 81 percent). And, it’s believed to be as a result of strong sales in both China and India. Moreover, another report by IDC depicted that Xiaomi had the strongest gain all over the globe even though it’s ranked at fifth place.
Recently, in Diwali sales along, Xiaomi sold over 4 Million devices in India. Also, in an online sale in India, Xiaomi created a record of selling 1 million devices in just 48 hours.
