The Xiaomi Mi 10i also known as Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G in India appeared at the beginning of this year. Despite being this fact, the phone was commenced with Android 10 based MIUI 12. Now finally in Q2 of 2021, the device is receiving the latest stable OS version, Android 11.

The latest software can be identified with build number V12.0.2.0.RJSINXM. Apart from the Android 11 goodies like chat bubbles, dedicated chat section, native screen recorder, smart media control, one-time permission, and so on, the package carries the April 2021 Android security patch.
Do keep in note that the update is currently on the ‘Stable Beta’ phase. This means it will only be available for a limited number of users initially. However, a border rollout will follow soon after ensuring there are no critical glitches.
Now that the Xiaomi Mi 10i has grabbed the Android 11 update. It could be implied by Xiaomi’s update track record, that the Mi 10i is now due for a single big MIUI 12.5 update in the future. But, it will no longer receive any major Android upgrade further.
