Xiaomi has its devices standing tall in flagship as well as in budget category. However, from the beginning, they are known for flagship series devices with a reasonable price tag. In budget genre, they have earlier launched several devices in the Redmi 4-series. The Redmi 4, Redmi 4 Prime, Redmi 4A, and the Redmi 4X though some devices were limited to the Chinese market. A few days back Xiaomi has rolled out a new update for its device and according to us if you own the exact handset then you should be aware of it. The update currently is in rolling phase and is available for Redmi 4A. The update comes with a version MIUI 9 v9.5.6 and is based on the Android 7.1 Nougat. It is sad to know that still, the handset is receiving Android Nougat update, however, Xiaomi is one such brand that provides MIUI updates for even its age-old smartphones.
This new update brings an updated and refined May 2018 Security Patch. Nothing new has been introduced with it but they do have fixed some existing bugs including alarms didn’t go off on holidays, fix for area codes attributed to wrong locations, etc. In case you don’t know Xiaomi has already disclosed the list of their Xiaomi device which will be getting the new MIUI 10 update.
