Xiaomi Redmi 5A launched today in India, It was termed as Desh ka Smartphone in the country. The main highlight of Redmi 5A is its price tag and made in India. The phone will be available to buy from online and offline retailers from 7th December 2017 onwards.
Xiaomi Redmi 5A features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels)resolution display with a pixel density of 296 ppi. It powers with Snapdragon 435 Soc which pairs with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB /32GB internal storage. The storage of the phone is expandable up to 128 GB via MicroSD card. Redmi 5A packs with 13 MP primary camera and 5 MP of front camera. It is backed up by 3000 mAh of battery and runs on MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat out of the box.
Coming to the connectivity options, The phone phone features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Infrared, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Micro-USB port. It measures 140.4 x 70.1 x 8.35mm, and weighs 137 grams.
At last coming to price, Xiaomi Redmi 5A is pricing starts from ₹4,999 (2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage) and other variant is priced at ₹6,999(3GB of RAM and 32GB of Internal storage). The main competitor of Redmi 5A is with Moto C and Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) which are priced at ₹5,957 and ₹7,390 respectively.
