Xiaomi’s entry level smartphone that offers awesome specs for its price: the Redmi 1S is receiving an OTA update. This is the first update that the Redmi 1s is receiving and this update seems to be addressing the one issue that haunts Redmi 1S users the most: over heating.
The update take the MIUI version upto v4.5. Overheating is not the only issue that will be addressed by this update, it also improves the RAM handling of the device. It does so by killing the running apps after a set period of time thus emptying space on the RAM and killing unnecessary apps.
The update weighs in a hefty 514.4 MB so we suggest you update it over the Wi-Fi.
