Xiaomi’s Mi 6X has been under the rumor and leak radar for a while now. Recently, the device was even spotted on TENAA listings revealing the design. And now a new leak confirms the processor which will power the Mi 6x including details regarding the camera setup.
According to the new leak, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6X will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 clocked at 2.2 GHz which is not a big improvement over Mi 5X’s Snapdragon 625. Also, the battery capacity has been reduced to 2,910 mAh from 3,090 mAh. But, the RAM and the internal storage still remains the same at 4GB and 64GB respectively.
Though the CPU of the phone doesn’t have much improvement, it will come with a better display as well as cameras. The display will be an IPS LCD panel of FHD+ resolution with 18:9 aspect ratio. The rear dual camera setup will now come with a 20 MP(f/2.0 aperture) and 8 MP(f/1.8 aperture) sensors rather than dual 12 MP like the Mi 5X. Also, the front 5 MP sensor will be replaced with a 20 MP(f/2.0 aperture) sensor like Redmi Note 5 Pro. Last but not least, the phone will run on Android 8.1 Oreo(MIUI 9) out of the box.
The Mi 6X doesn’t seem to be a worthy successor to the Mi 5X especially if it gets rebranded as Mi A2. Don’t forget to drop your opinions in the comment section below.
