It’s been a couple of months since Xiaomi introduced an upgrade over MIUI 12. The company is sprightly sprinting MIUI 12.5 to the eligible devices even before the planned schedule. The latest smartphone to join the long list is Poco X2. The device was launched last year with Android 10 pre-installed along with MIUI 11 on top.
The latest update is presently live in India rolling out through firmware version V12.5.1.0.RGHINXM. While the units in other regions will probably get a similar treatment in the coming days.
Talking about changes, MIUI 12.5 brings enhanced performance, UI tweaks, new animations, privacy features, an updated Notes app, and a whole lot more. Reportedly, the system offers 20 times more rendering power after flashing the build. Here are some of the best features of the current stable skin by Xiaomi.
The MIUI 12.5 Android skin is a bridge between MIUI 12 and MIUI 13. As the Poco X2 is only a year old, it is also eligible to receive the next version of the customized skin. However, the availability of Android 12 for the handset is still under confusion.
To keep in note, the MIUI 12.5 will arrive as a stable beta update. That implies, only a selected number of users can have access to fresh skin as of now. As usual, the OTA build is having a phase-wise rollout. Though a border rollout will follow in the upcoming week.
