The launch of upcoming Xiaomi Mi8 and MIUI 10 is scheduled on 31st of May as revealed by the brand. If you recall at the launch of Xiaomi’s Blackshark, the CEO Lei Jun was spotted wearing a new fitness accessory. It probably was the forthcoming Mi Band 3. Finally, Xiaomi has confirmed that along with MIUI 10 and Mi8 Xiaomi will be launching the all-new MI Band 3 as well. So without wasting a moment let’s dive a little deep into this.
Today Xiaomi’s Senior Vice President(Wang Xiang) has confirmed that the fresh Mi Band 3 is on its way. As suggested by previous rumors and leaks Mi Band 3 is expected to come with a Touch-Screen. There is no confirmation that whether it will possess a colorful display or the old black and white OLED panel. There are rumors prevailing in the market that the new Mi Band 3 will support gestures like long pressing, swipe up, swipe down to perform different tasks.
As leaked in the user manual the wearable device will look similar to the predecessor, however, will be constructed of more promising materials. The band will come with an IP67 rating for protection against water and dust. For connectivity, it will carry support for Bluetooth v4.2 and NFC. Similar to its older sibling it will come equipped with heart rate sensor, step counter, sleep monitor and this time they will deliver more accurate data.
