A series of recent rumors and leaks indicated imminent launch of Xiaomi Mi Note 3 along with Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 on September 11. Today, the smartphones have been unveiled in a launch event held in Beijing, China. First, speaking of the Mi Note 3, the successor to Mi Note 2, the handset packs top-notch specs with high-end hardware. Xiaomi is calling Mi Note 3 as “large version of the Mi 6.”

In terms of specifications, Mi Note 3 features a 5.5-inch display with reading mode. The handset comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 processor with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The smartphone packs a decent 3,500mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0.
In the photography section, the device sports dual rear cameras with 12MP wide angle + 12MP telephoto lens that offers 2X optical zoom and 4-axis OIS, optimized low-light photography and DSLR-level Bokeh effect. The handset comes with a 16MP front-facing camera with facial recognition unlocking and AI Beautify mode.
Other features include fingerprint sensor at the front, multi functional NFC, IR Blaster, USB-C, stereo speakers and more. The smartphone will be available in black and blue color variants only.
The base variant (6GB + 64GB) in black color will cost you 2499 Yuan, which roughly comes to INR 24,499. The high-end variant (6GB + 128GB) in black color is priced at 2899 Yuan that translates to INR 28,400 while the blue color variant (6GB + 128GB) will cost you 2999 Yuan, which equals to 29,300 INR.
