Xiaomi has disrupted the smartphone budget-segment with their value for money Redmi series. Similarly, the Chinese firm is in a new bid to conquer a major portion of the TV industry. Their recently unveiled LED TV series, 4A and 4 were selling like hot cakes in India and the home country. Inspired by this success, Xiaomi has now announced a new edition under the 4A Series for China dubbed as Mi LED TV 4A: Youth Edition.
Focused on youth, the new Mi 4A TV is, in a sense, Chinese counterpart of the popular Mi TV 4A that was launched in India some time ago. The LED based smart TV comes with a price tag of CNY 1,699 (approx. Rs 17,800) and have some few smart features and tricks of its own, marketed as AI-Powered PatchWall UI.
As far as the hardware is in consideration. The Mi TV 4A Youth Edition flaunts a 43-inch full HD LED display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The display comes with the standard refresh rate of 60Hz and bears a 178-degree viewing angle. It’s powered by a quad-core Amlogic SoC which has 4xCortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The SoC has an embedded Mali-450 GPU.
For storage, the Smart TV offers 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Other specifications include: Wi-Fi, two HDMI ports, two USB ports, one Ethernet port, one AV component port, and one S/PDIF audio port. Moreover, the sound output is provided by two 6W speakers. Last but not least, the TV measures 965.89 x 607.89 x 233.22mm (including base), and weighs 7.58kg (7.44kg without base).
