Xiaomi is planning to extend the Xiaomi 12 lineup with the T-mobile variants: Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro. While the phones are in the works, the company has revealed the launch date of the upcoming series. The devices can make their debut in September or October 2022 in the global markets. Ahead of the official launch, the Xiaomi 12T Pro has made an appearance on the Google Play Console listing. Here is what we know about the high-end model so far.
The Xiaomi 12T Pro will sit over the Xiaomi 11T Pro. Needless to say, the phone will arrive with some major improvements. The Google Play Console listing reveals some key details, including processor, operating system, display features, and more.
Under the hood, the Mi 12T Pro will run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood. The chipset will be paired with an Adreno 730 GPU for graphics. Also, the portal confirms a screen resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels. On the software front, the device will boost Android 12 out of the box. With this operating system, it is likely to arrive with MIUI 13 skin iteration on top.
Reportedly, the Xiaomi 12T Pro is claimed to be a rebadged Redmi K50 Extreme Edition/ K50 Ultra. Although, there are some tweaks expected in the optics department. In that case, the upcoming phone can feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In addition, the handset will offer an in-display fingerprint scanner and Dolby Vision support.
For optics, it will carry a triple rear camera module consisting of a massive 200MP primary sensor. Accompanying this could be an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro sensor. At the front, the centrally aligned hole-punch cutout can house a 20MP front camera.
