Microsoft has been working to bring Xbox live to both smartphone platforms, iOS and Android. In order to bring cross platform play to even more number of tablets and smartphones.
According to The Verge, the company has been working to expand the device to even more platforms. Also the company has been looking for developers to join who in turn will create a framework which is to be made open source, is light weight, and also it is scalable across various smartphone platforms.
Microsoft has already been treating with the clix live on Android and is iOS with Wordament game, which is available on the Google Play Store. The game is an Xbox live game which allows the players to compete across different platforms. Though Google already has Google Play Gamez and Apple has Game center which are similar to civic live, and Microsoft would have to compete with both of them. So let’s see what happens when the service is finally brought in for the Android platform.
