The Elife S5.5 from Gionee was released some time ago and is the slimmest smartphone at 5.5 mm thin but it looks like Gionee was not impressed with it as we now have news about something even thinner from Gionee. The upcoming smartphone from Gionee, model numbered GN9005 is now the slimmest smartphone in the world, measuring just 5 mm thick.
The device was recently spotted in China and had a picture clicked too.
The device has also passed the Chinese certification which means it won’t be very long before the device is spotted in the market. Talking about the specs, the device boasts of a 4.8″ 720p AMOLED screen churning out 306 ppi. The rear snapper is a 8 MP with LED flash while the front camera unit is a 5 MP. Under the hood will probably be a quad-core Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz with 1 GB RAM. The powerhouse will be a 2,050 mAh unit and the GN9005 will operate on Android Jellybean 4.3.
