We have a new competitor in the lower-end smartphone segment folks! And it’s Moto. We have been anticipating the launch of an ultra-cheap device by the Lenovo-owned brand. Now, it is official. Moto has launched the Moto C in India for the price of Rs. 5,999.
It is a 5-incher device that has FWVGA (854×480) display and packs a quad-core MediaTek processor, has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. You do get microSD card support ( up to 128GB). It packs an average 2350 mAh battery capacity with Android 7.0 Nougat on board. For photography, the Moto C offers a pretty basic 5MP camera at the back and a 2MP camera at the front for selfies. In order to make it compatible with major 4G networks in India, it has got 4G LTE connectivity.
The device is priced at Rs. 5,999 and will be available in offline retail stores in two color options of Pearl White and Starry Black. If you ask us, honestly, we think Moto has been living under a rock. Even some Indian OEMs are providing better specs these days than Moto for this price. The Xiaomi Redmi 4A will slaughter this device in a head-to-head comparison and overall performance.
We hope that it satisfies the needs of the users who want to own it.
