Vivo has recently received TENAA certification for its forthcoming Y series smartphones, Y75s and Y83. While Y75s seems to be the successor to Vivo Y75, which was launched back in December last year, Y83 suggests addition of a new entrant in the company’s portfolio. When the smartphones appeared on TENAA, we got a hint of some specs and information.
In terms of design and specs, the Y75s closely resembles V7 Plus, though both devices have different camera capabilities. The leaked specs indicate that Y75s flaunts a 5.99-inch 18:9 full screen 2.5D display with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. Moreover, the handset is powered by Snapdragon 450 processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB storage capacity. The smartphone supports expandable storage up to 256GB via a microSD.
In the camera department, the handset houses a 13MP rear camera along with a 16MP front facing shooter. Under its hood, the smartphone packs a 3,150mAh battery and runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 3.2 on the top. Y75s will be available in Deep Blue, Matte Black, Red and Champagne Gold color options.
Talking of Vivo Y83, the smartphone comes with a 6.22-inch 19:9 full screen display with a resolution of 750 X 1520 pixels. The handset will be powered by an unspecified chipset with 2.0 GHz octa-core CPU paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage, which is expandable to a maximum of 256GB.
Y83 features a 13MP camera at the back and an 8MP selfie camera. The smartphone comes with a 3,180 mAh battery and runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Vivo’s Funtouch OS skin 4.0 at the top of it. Unlike Y75s which is expected to be available in variety of color options, Y83 will be introduced in Black and Champagne Gold colors only.
