Vivo finally announced the X30 and X30 Pro in China with dual-mode 5G and Exynos 980, making them the first smartphones to be powered by the said chipset. Apart from the camera setup, both the Pro and non-Pro models are similar in all aspects. The price starts at 3,298 for the vanilla X30 and the X30 Pro costs 3,998 Yuan for the base variant.
Vivo X30, X30 Pro Specifications
Both the Vivo X30 and X30 Pro sport a 6.44-inches FHD+ E3 AMOLED display with a punch-hole located at the top right corner housing a 32MP snapper for selfies and video calls. The fingerprint sensor resides under the screen like any other premium Android smartphones these days. As mentioned earlier, these phones come with Samsung Exynos 980 SoC with support for SA(standalone) and NSA(non-standalone) 5G networks. They come in two variants which include a base model with 8GB + 128GB storage configuration and a higher model with same 8GB RAM but 256GB ROM.
At the back, the Vivo X30 features a triple camera array placed in a vertical manner on the top left side. The X30 Pro also features the same set of cameras but with an extra 13MP periscope zoom module which sits adjacent to the main camera array and is capable of capturing 60x zoom pictures. The primary camera is of 64 megapixels on both the phones and they also feature a same 8MP ultra-wide-angle unit with 115-degree field of view which also doubles as a macro camera allowing users to go as close as 2.5cm to the subject. Apart from that, both the non-Pro and Pro also has a dedicated 32MP camera with 50mm focal for depth sensing to output better portrait shots.
The Vivo X30 and X30 Pro run the company’s new FunTouchOS 10 based on Android 10. Lastly, both of them are backed by the same 4,350mAh battery with support for 33W Vivo FlashCharge fast charging technology.

The Vivo X30 and X30 Pro will be initially only available in China. It could land in other markets like Europe in the coming months.
