After launching the Vivo X21 initially in China and later to some handful of other markets globally. The Chinese smartphone maker, Vivo is all set to launch its in-display fingerprint flaunting device to world’s one of the most lucrative market – India on coming May 29. The device will go on sale as an #OnlyOnFlipkart product after the launch.
Couple of weeks ago, courtesy to a teaser posted by Vivo we all came to know that the Chinese firm is heading to launch an X-Series handset in India. However, the teaser doesn’t revealed much about the product, though most of us had an insight that it to be none other than the Vivo X21. Now, the eCommerce giant – Flipkart itself has disclosed the news by confirming the Vivo X21, in deed, will be launched in India on 29th of this May.
As it’s obvious, the pricing and first sale date will be revealed only during the launch. Nevertheless, we expect it to be priced around ₹36,000 looking at the features that it brings to the table. Note that, in China it went on sale for 3,598 Yuan(approx. ₹39,000).
Vivo X21 is a feature-packed device with some improvements over its predecessor, Vivo X20 UD. It wears a 6.28-inch, notch bearing Full-HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, lies an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform with embedded Adreno 512 GPU. The handset comes in two variants of internal storage — 64GB and 128GB with 6GB RAM in common.
In terms of cameras. On the front, sits a 12MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture. And there’s a dual-camera setup at the rear comprising of 12MP wide-angle sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 5MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture.
Optical under-display fingerprint sensor is what makes it stand out from the competition. Apart from the all above mentioned specs, the Vivo X21 boards other general features such as 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, USB 2.0 with OTG support, and GPS.
The smartphone runs Vivo’s proprietary FunTouch OS 4.0 with the base as latest Android 8.1 Oreo. A decent 3,200mAh battery fuels the device that supports fast charging.
