Last year, the Korean giant unveiled, and so far, the handset has received very few updates compared to others. Verizon and Samsung have togetherly started shipping a new update for the Galaxy Watch3 with sleep score measurements, walking challenges, and other features. The update carries the firmware version R845/R855USQU1BUB2.

What’s new?
As mentioned in the changelog, it comes with Samsung Health Improvements, Always On Display – Removed seconds display, Hand Wash feature, etc. The company has also mentioned in the changelog that it has added the latest security patch in this update.
- Talking in brief about the changes, now you can invite up to 9 friends to join and walk with you in the “Together” section of the Samsung Health app upon connection with your phone. Users can also head to Samsung Health > Together and track the process.
- In addition to this, Samsung has added the Sleep score feature, which automatically tracks your sleep pattern and rates your sleep from 1 to 100.
- Auto workout recognition time for running, rowing machine and elliptical is reduced from 10 minutes to 3 minutes, making it easier to track your workouts.
- Heading to the changes in Always On Display, Samsung has removed the second’s hand/display on selected watch faces when Always On Display is turned on.
- Apart from these, the company has added the Hand Wash application, which helps improve hygiene by tracking hand washing. The app can detect handwashing, track how often you wash hands, and provide reminders to wash hands at regular intervals in the day. Interested users can download and install the application from the Galaxy Store.
