Verizon, an American telecommunication company has just rolled out a new update for a couple its smartphones. You may have heard about T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, etc. There is a huge competition between these carriers and to lead they often find different ways to serve users. This time Verizon has opted to release new updates for the existing handsets. You will be surprised to know that they have even brought an update for ages old Galaxy Note 5 as well. So without making any delay let’s know more about this update and the smartphones on which it had arrived.
If you still own a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ or LG K20 smartphone then there is a good news for you. We know that most of you folks are waiting for the Android Oreo update but instead of Oreo with this update, you are getting improved security. This new update consists of May 2018 security patch which brings refined security on the three devices. This new software for Galaxy Note 5 arrives with the version N920VVRS3CRE4 whereas for Galaxy S6 Edge+ it is G928VVRS3CRE4.
For the LG K20, this update arrives with the version VS50117A. The update for all the mentioned devices is arriving as an OTA. If you haven’t received the update on your handsets yet then there is nothing to worry as it will take around a week to be available for all units.
