So now its confirmed that Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean update is coming soon as Verizon has outed support documents for update. The update includes all jelly bean luxuries, like Google Now, better notifications, smarter widgets, and Project Butter. Beyond Jelly Bean, Verizon also included support for Isis Mobile Wallet. There’s also bug fixes for major problems.
The update is apparently just 62MB, and will be coming OTA (Over The Air) instead of via Kies — exactly as it should. It’s been a long wait for all US owners of the Galaxy S3 but Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T all managed to push the update out before Big Red.
Update: We aren’t sure why, but Verizon just changed the support docs back to a previous update. We’ll keep an eye on it and see what happens.
