After the long wait Verizon Moto G4 Play starts getting Android 7.1.1 Nougat Update. In June 2017 Motorola rolls out Android 7.1.1 Nougat soak test in Brazil. The Update comes with version NPI26.48-38 which packs with Nougat update along with latest Security patch.
The Update is packed with all the Android Nougat goodies that are improved notifications experience, enhanced Doze mode, multi-window support, instant apps, better notifications, quick settings, notification dots and so on. Along with all these features the update is packed with the KRACK fix and December Security patch.
Currently the update is rolling out to Verizon users. If you want to check out the update hit you or not manually, head on to Settings -> About -> System Update ->. Also, as we say regularly, don’t forget to check your storage space, battery above 50%, and switch to Wi-Fi before installing the update.
For a reminder, Moto G4 Play features a 5 inch 1280 x 720p display, it is powered by Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core SoC running at 1.2GHz with Adreno 306 GPU. It is paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded via a provided MicroSD card slot. It is packed with 8MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash that can record videos at 1080p resolution. For selfies, the 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture and display flash.
