Recently, Motorola rolled out June 2020 security patch update for Moto Z3 and Moto G Stylus. Now, the company started rolling out May 2020 security patch update for Moto e5 Go in the United States. The device got the last security update in the month of March 2020 meanwhile skipping the April security update. However, now it directly jumped to May 2020 packing important security fixes.
The latest firmware version OPPS28.151-22-5-20 brings many other advancements. According to Verizon’s release note, new features were added to the device without listing them in the changelog. The users will be experiencing them after installing this update. As usual, the update brings fixes for all the prominent security loopholes and issues that were posted by users in the last two months on Google community forums.
As it is the first roll-out of the May 2020 security patch update for Moto E5 Go, a set of random users will first start getting the update. After the successful verification of the update, all the users will start receiving it within a few days.
To check the update manually, navigate to the Settings> Software updates> Check for Updates. We also suggest you switch to a WiFi network to avoid carrier data costs.
The Moto E5 Go was launched in early 2018 with a 5.2-display, 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Moreover, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset coupled with a Quad-core processor. The smartphone is available only in 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage variants. Moto E5 GO runs Android 8 out of the box and packs with a 2,800 mAh battery.
