After receiving the Android 10 update in its home market – Korea, the Sprint LG V50 ThinQ recently started receiving an update in the US. Meanwhile, the Verizon LG V50 ThinQ users are still waiting for the latest and the greatest Android 10 update. Well, the update is imminent as the Android 10 based kernel source has appeared on the official LG OpenSource Code Distribution website.
The actual date of the Android 10 rollout on Verizon LG V50 ThinQ is still unknown. However, it shouldn’t take long for the rollout to happen, and it might be a matter of a few days or weeks now. We need to wait for the official rollout information from the Big Red.
As far as the build number is concerned, Verizon Wireless LG V50 ThinQ will get firmware version V20a. It will be the first update for Verizon LG V50 ThinQ this year. The device received software version V450VM10i last December.
LG V50 ThinQ is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset featuring an octa-core processor and Adreno 640 GPU. It carries a 6.4-inch P-OLED touchscreen and packs Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The triple camera module consists of 12-megapixel primary sensors, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens. There are a dual 8-megapixel and a 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies. Surprisingly, a 3.5mm headphone jack will help you to listen to music without buying new compatible headphones.
