Verizon Galaxy Tab A (8.4-inch) gets Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update

Last month, Verizon and Samsung rolled out the Android 11 update to the Galaxy Tab S5e users. And now the Verizon-based Galaxy Tab A (8.4-inch) has started receiving the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update. The update is reportedly spinning on the build version RP1A.200720.012.T307USQU5CUE7.

What’s New?

Similar to the previous Android 11 updates, it includes new features, enhancements, improvements, and the firmware might also incorporate bug fixes on the off chance. Furthermore, it is mentioned in the changelog that the latest update includes the June 2021 Security Patch.

The firmware brings enhancements to Quick Share for easily sharing files to other Android devices. The update also fuels Android 11 goodies tossed with One UI 3.1 goods. Some of the new features include Chat bubbles, Smart device controls, Media controls, screen recorder, Notification history, Conversation notifications, etc. Moreover, the new One UI 3.1 improves user interaction for Quick Panel, Toolbars, Notifications, Settings.

The users of Galaxy Tab A (8.4-inch) can head over to Settings>Software updates and check for the updates manually. If the firmware popups there, download and install it. Otherwise, wait until you get it.

As the Galaxy Tab A (8.4-inch) was official with Android 10 OS, it will receive another major Android update (Android 12) in the future.

Concerning the camera, the tab houses an 8-MP back camera and a 5-MP camera on the front side. A 5,000 mAh battery backs the device.
