It Mid-October now and Verizon Galaxy S9 finally starts getting the Android security patch for the October 2018. Although in some countries Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S9 is already getting the October Security patch. Now the US carrier Verizon starts rolling out October security patch on both the Galaxy S9 and S9+ with the firmware Version G960USQS3ARIB and G965USQS3ARIB respectively.
The update is a small one but it includes some improvements in the front camera. Comin back to October Security patch it includes the fixes for dozens of vulnerabilities that were discovered in the Android OS. That’s in addition to the fixes included for vulnerabilities in Samsung’s software.

The update is rolling out over the air. So it might take some time to reach each and everyone. When you get the update, before start installing the update do charge your phone up to at least 50%.
