HMD Global unveiled the Nokia G50 in September 2021 featuring an IPS LCD panel of 6.82 inches. The Android 11 software paired with Snapdragon 480 5G-based hardware fuels the device under the hood. It offers three storage variants— 64GB 4GB RAM, 128GB 4GB RAM, and 128GB 6GB RAM. A 48 MP triple rear camera will serve the picture purpose, while you can take selfies via an 8 MP front-facing sensor.

- [December 20, 2022]: Nokia is pushing a major update for the Nokia G50 5G smartphone. The update brings the Android 13 update to the smartphone with the firmware version V3.200. It also brings the November 2022 security patch to the device. The update weighs over 2GB and brings new themed apps icons, photo picker, new media controls and more. The Android 13 update for Nokia G50 5G is live in Finland. It will be soon live in other countries in the following days.
- [November 25, 2021]: Nokia G50 5G is receiving a new update in Europe. Though the build is not major, it improves privacy by adding November 2021 security patch that weighs 31.22 MB in size. The most severe issues of a critical security vulnerability in the System component are addressed via this patch.
The OTA update takes time to reach all units. But the user has an option to track the build manually by heading to Settings > About > Software updates. Also, make sure to keep your device connected to a WiFi network before to avoid additional charges.
