[Update: May 2021 Security Patch] Samsung Galaxy A80 Update Tracker

Samsung officially launched the Galaxy A80 a couple of years back with Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box. It is the first phone to equip Snapdragon 730G chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The smartphone features a 6.7-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. There’s a triple rear camera consisting of a 48MP primary sensor and a sliding and rotating camera mechanism for selfies.

• [May 28, 2021]: Samsung is releasing May 2021 security patch to the Galaxy A80. The new software is rolling out with a build number A805NKSUZDUE1 that weighs around 478 MB in size. Apart from this, the changelog mentions the improvement in the Quick Share function. Moreover, the Application of stabilization code related to terminal operation has been applied. The update is currently live in Korea, while other regions will also get a hit soon.
• [March 23, 2021]: The Galaxy A80 is receiving the Android 11 update with One UI 3.1 skin on top. The software is currently live in Europe with the firmware version A805FXXU5DUC7. Along with the Android 11 goodies and One UI 3.1 traits, the package also carries the March 2021 security patch level. Tap here to know more about the firmware.

As usual, the OTA update is out in a phase-wise manner. You can either wait for a pop-up notification regarding the new build or check it manually. To give it a self-check, head over to the Settings app > Software update and tap on Download and install. Also, we suggest you switch over to a WiFi network before downloading the update to avoid data charges.
