Some days ago, Essential phone was listed for pre-ordering on Best Buy, Amazon and Sprint. The former two listed unlocked variant and Sprint put its carrier-locked Essential Phone up for pre-order. Now, the Android creator – Andy Rubin designed much anticipated Essential phone is up for pre-ordering on Essential official website.
The essential website lists the unlocked smartphone for a price tag of $699, at the same rate that of Best Buy is offering. In addition, a 360 camera module can also be availed along with the Essential Phone on Essential’s website. Only, the thing is you would have to throw an extra $50, if needed the camera. It is to be noted that, the camera module is up for grab with a discount of $149 and the offer is limited.
Furthermore, an extended warranty care which costs $99, which will get you 2 years of coverage for breakdowns and accidental damage is also an exclusive offer available only on Essential’s official website. The smartphone is available in two colour variants(Black and white).
Andy Rubin, the man behind world’s popular Android OS, felts the essentiality of the Essential Phone in already crowded smartphone industry because:
“less and less choice(s)” even though the product numbers kept increasing, but these had more unnecessary features and didn’t work with one another.
The Essential Phone, which flaunts high-end modular design will compete with Galaxy Note 8 & iPhone 8 of the same segment.
