UC Browser Turbo is growing on us day by day with its simple, ad-free interface and useful features. A new update to the app is taking a round in Google Play Store with handful of improvements. Most notably, support for Picture-in-Picture is debuting with the latest release.
The latest UC Browser Turbo 1.6.9.900 makes the browser more capable and reliable. As per the Google Play Store, the update changelog goes as following;
As you can see, with the latest UC Turbo when you stream or play videos on the browser it can be played in the background. Simply it means PiP is supported by the UC Video Player. Within the UC Turbo video player UI, you’ll now see a new option of PiP(pop-up window icon like). Click on it and the video will play Picture-in-Picture. As an icing on the cake, adjusting the window size is also possible.
So with the background video support, online videos such as YouTube videos can be viewed in PiP even without Premium access.
As of the other features, UC Turbo supports Facebook Lite for less bandwidth usage on browsing Facebook. Moreover, there are imorovements in download manager, bug fixes and refreshed Toolbar.
In order to experience the changes, update the app from Google Play Store.
