Ubuntu has surfaced Touch Preview Daily Builds for those four supported devices — the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10.Additionally, Canonical showed off Ubuntu Touch running on the Nexus 10 and earlier Ubuntu phone os on Galaxy Nexus.
Ubuntu Touch preview Daily builds will get updates made on a regular basis — you can download the latest versions of the touch-friendly, Linux-based operating system at the Ubuntu 12.10 Touch Preview daily builds download page. Unlike Android, where Google withheld all code of Android, Canonical has been getting contributions from the developer community the whole way. Canonical released the Ubuntu Nexus 7 installer back in October to start work on Ubuntu for tablets. In real words it means, developers have access to latest code, latest fixes, and latest features of the Touch experience. Also they have access to the latest bugs, regressions and breakages.
Well canonical has also added 20 new devices to its list to build the source. These devices include thteMotorola XOOM, CDMA Galaxy Nexus devices, the Nexus S and Nexus One, the HTC One X and One X+, the Samsung Galaxy Note, Note 2, and S3 (Verizon, AT&T, and international GSM variants), the Galaxy S2, Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi, Motorola’s DROID 3, DROID 4 and DROID Bionic, the ASUS Transformer Pad and Transformer Infinity, LG Optimus 4X HD, and more.
