After Ubuntu Phone OS, Tizen 2.0 is here. You can download its SDK and source code from the link in the bottom. SO finally Tizen has dropped “alpha” designation. The open source OS has enhanced its support for HTML5. Actually, Tizen is an open source mobile platform that’s been backed by companies such as Intel and Samsung and is managed by a Technical Steering Group.
Along with above mentioned features the new version has many new features and improvements over the previous versions Tizen 1.0 Larkspur and Tizen 2.0 Alpha built. Here are changes:
Tizen has introduced Enhanced Web framework that provides state-of-the-art HTML5/W3C API support along with Web UI framework, including full-screen and multi-window support. They have even induced APIs for Bluetooth and NFC support, and access to the device’s calendar, call history, and messaging subsystems. Some more changes:
