Samsung files patents for a three-sided display screen way back in April but this whole news just got refreshed. A display parts supplier for Samsung claims that the three-sided display has now entered the production line and is no more just a concept and is on its way to becoming a reality.
Rumors have also surfaced about Samsung planning to feature the three-sided screen on the upcoming Galaxy Note 4 but considering that the Note 4 is due to be unveiled in a month, we don’t think so. Yes,a limited edition featuring the screen could also be possible from the Korean giant.
There were rumors earlier that the Note 4 will be made available in two variants: one with the conventional flat super AMOLED screen and one with a curved screen. This three-sided screen could very well be the curved screen associated with the Note 4.
Even if Samsung plans to bring out the Note 4 with the three-sided screen, there’s a very high probability it’ll remain an exclusive to Korea for some time and then will be made available to the rest of the world.
