Samsung made a drastic changes in its device portfolio this year. We’ve seen the new Galaxy M-Series emerging as the replacement of the now obsolete J and On Series. The South-Korean chaebol was also rumored to have another Series of devices reportedly dubbed as the Galaxy R-Series. Well, now it has come to our light as the purported Galaxy R series is nothing but the internal code-name of the revamped Galaxy A-Series devices which Samsung has been launching all these while.
Galaxy R series does not exist, “Rx” is only the internal code of Galaxy A, some Leaker get the wrong information, in fact, Galaxy A90 is still Galaxy A90, it has a 5G version, using 45w fast charging.

The renowned tipster, Ice Universe is sure that there exist no such devices under Galaxy R umbrella, at least for the 2019. In fact, he has also given us tid-bits of the upcoming Galaxy A90 device, which is rumored to be the unique Samsung device for the year 2019 having features present not even on the Galaxy S10s, Fold and the upcoming Note 10. As per him, the Galaxy A90 will have a 5G version which should come with 45W of fast charging capability out of the box.
It’s of great attention as even the latest Galaxy S devices support only 15W charging and the fastest charging speed supported by a Samsung phone as of now is only upto 25W seen on devices such as Galaxy A70, A80 etc. In deed, 45W support is a great leap in charging speed department as far as Samsung devcies are considered. The Galaxy A90 will also bear the title of first Galaxy A Series to have the flagship Mobile Platform, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855.
