On 18th of September, Google will enter to the India’s fastest growing digital payment system. It will enter into the Indian payment market with its new app which is made for the Indian market. The app is named ‘Tez’ which means fast in the Hindi language.
Tez is a platform for payment tool which will be available on the desktop with having a dedicated Android app. In coming times, it will be restored in other apps too to extend its compatibility.
Previously, Google had a payment tool called ‘Android pay’ which is not in force in India. Samsung made its first move by coming into the Indian market with Samsung pay available on mid-range phones. This seems like Google is also making its first approach to the Indian payment market by launching Google Tez app.
Like other payment apps, Google Tez will feature a digital wallet where you will be able to store money. It will be integrated with credit cards and Unified Payments Interface (UPI). It will also support third party wallets like PayTM and MobiKwik.
To recall, currently, Truecaller also started payment on its own app in India. Whatsapp is also working on a new payment feature.
