The U.S. based operator, T-Mobile is now rolling out August security patches for its carrier-locked LG K20 Plus. As usual, the OTA update carrying version TP26010s being minor, doesn’t bring any new OS to the device. In effect, the T-Mobile LG K20 still remains on existing Android 7.0 Nougat.
However, along with the last month’s security patch dated 1st August. The update perhaps includes various bug fixes and software stability improvements. In addition, we could expect some other minor tweaks here and there.
Full Changelog Of Update:
- Google Monthly security update
- Various bug fixes and software stability improvements
As far as the August security patch is considered. The August SMR(security maintenance release) by LG contains the 61 patches for the vulnerabilities from Google and LG Electronics. In which 60 are CVE(common vulnerabilities and exposures) fixes on core Android base. And, 1 LVE (LG vulnerabilities and exposures) item.
Anyway, August is over and September is upon us. So, as usual Google has come up with the latest September patch for its Android. Interestingly, Nokia 5 is the first to receive the September patches much before the Pixel devices.
In the meantime, if you are a T-Mobile LG K20 Plus owner. You can update your device to the latest firmware by Checking for updates manually in the About Phone section.
