After a two week delay, T-Mobile has started pushing the promised Android Nougat 7.0 update to the Galaxy S6 Edge+. The update has been in the works for some time since April and it was on schedule to arrive in early May but that didn’t happen and it eventually got delayed. But it’s arriving now. The unlocked S6 Edge+, the AT&T and Verizon version have already received the update.
T-Mobile has now stated on its official web page about the download being available live and online. We are in the dark as to what features apart from the standard Nougat features this new update will bring to the device. As of now the changelog only displays the regular Android nougat update and in all probability, performance improvements and bug fixes will be there.
In all likeliness, the April security patch will also be included in the update. As the update is rolling out as OTA update so might get couple of days to reach each and every phone’s unit. If you just can’t wait then look for the software version G928TUVU4EQC6 by navigating to the Settings / About Devices / System updates menu.
