The 2016’s flagship duo of Samsung, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are receiving an update on T-Mobile network. The update does not bring new features to the device, it’s merely a December security update.
This new update will change the build number to G930TUVS4BQL2 on the Galaxy S7 and for the Galaxy S7 Edge, the new build number will be G935TUVS4BQL2. The update weighs only around 50 MB. Both the devices and getting the update via OTA (Over The Air). Thus, it might take some time to reach every devices and so have patience. But, if you want to check if its available for your device, then select Download updates manually which will be in the Software update section of your device.
Although the update size is small, we would recommend you to use WiFi to eliminate data charges. Also make sure you have enough battery and storage before updating the device.
Also, you can install the latest updates available for your device through computer. For that you must have Samsung Switch application installed on your computer which can be downloaded from here. Then connect your phone and computer via USB cable and launch the Samsung Switch application. If an update is available, then the application will prompt you to download and install it.
