Samsung Galaxy Note 8 finally gets the Android security patch for the month of October and November 2017 on T-Mobile network. The update comes with the firmware version N950USQU2BQJA on Galaxy Note 8.
The update weighs around 383MB in size. It packs with October and November security patch along with some other fixes. The update fixes IMR roaming bug and also packs with a fix that blocks the Krack WPA2 vulnerability.
The full changelog of the update is below.
- October Security Maintenance Release (SMR) — Patches for 215 patches for vulnerabilities in the open-source Android operating system and six for Samsung’s own modified software.
- November Security Patch – Which includes fixes for 61 vulnerabilities found in the Android OS. Patches for six vulnerabilities in Samsung’s software are included as well.
- IMS roaming bug fix.
- Various bug fixes and software stability improvements
The Update is rolling out over the air. So don’t panic if it does not appear on your phone right away. The update will reach you in next couple of days. meanwhile you can always check it by going through the settings>>about phone>> software updates.
