Foursquare introduced Swarm a while ago, a social check in app where you could add constant updates to the places you visit on a daily basis. The app did well and most users used it to share the things happening on their day to day lives with their friends and followers.
Swarm has now been updated to a new version 5.0 with an unique feature called life logging. The update also significantly improves the entire user interface and it is completely different from the last one.
The update has also added a new map view along with a dashboard to view the updates of your stats. The stats will show that how many places you have logged in throughout your lifetime using the app.
Swarm has announced that it has designed the app to make it easier for the users to check in the locations they visit. This is because they feel that not many people use the Swarm app to connect with their friends than to log their locations.
As of now Swarm is rolling out the update only to the iOS devices. However it has promised that the Android app version will also be getting the new features in the coming weeks.
