Huawei is now on top-gear as far as the Android 8.0 Oreo update rolling out is considered. Just couple of hours after the major one hit the Huawei Honor P10 and P10 Plus. The update is now landing on the cheap but rich in specs-sheet, Huawei Honor 7X. The happy news was perhaps, officially announced by Huawei U.S through its Twitter account.
As of now, only beta testers are eligible for receiving the Android Oreo 8.0 skinned by EMUI 8.0. However, probably within 1-2 days it will be pushed to non-beta Honor 7X’s running the latest available Android Nougat 7.0(EMUI 5.1). Then later, will gradually extend towards all other regions.
The update weighs in at hefty 2.31GB in size. Hence, make sure you’re connected to a reliable and fast internet source. Most importantly, keep the juice of your device above 60-70% before proceeding with the installation. Speaking of the EMUI 8.0 based on the Oreo for the Honor 7X, the package brings a lot of new features and goodies on the table.
As pr the official changelog, a brand new floating Navigation dock, AI-based optimizations that could improve stability and fluidity coupled by a secure isolated space, PrivateSpace are the main highlights. Apart from that, EMUI 8.0 ensures a new redesigned and fluent user-interface. Moreover, Gallery has now a recycle bin that stores your deleted photos for a period of 30 days.
Huawei has bundled latest March Security patch so that the brand new OS is no short of security and protection. That said, have you update your device to the EMUI 8.0. If yes, share your experience so far on the new stable build in the comment section below.
