At IFA 2017, Sony announced a couple of flagship devices– Sony Xperia XZ1 and Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact with some pretty impressive specs. However, it seems that the company is currently working on a new upper mid-range smartphone that may release later this year. The device has just appeared on GFXBench with model number H4233 revealing its key specifications.
Sony H4233 features a large 6-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 5 finger gesture support. The smartphone is powered by 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 mobile platform coupled with Adreno 508 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of on-board storage capacity. The listing, however, did not reveal whether the storage can be further expanded or not.
The handset flaunts a 21-megapixel primary camera with features like autofocus, face detection, LED flash, HDR photo and touch focus. The front camera is a 15-megapixel sensor to capture better selfies. Both cameras also support 4K video recording. Other connectivity features include Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and WiFi.
When officially released, Sony H4233 will run on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. As of now, there is no information about the price and availability of the smartphone. We expect more details and information to be revealed about the impending device in the coming days.
