Signal messenger, the app which received a boost due to the privacy policy issue with Whatsapp has received a new update. After that incident, Signal gained major traction in several countries. The app also became the definition of a secure messenger.
With so many users shifting towards Signal messenger, the company has started pushing valuable updates to the app. A few weeks ago, it came up with an update that lets you listen to the audio messages at double or half speed. Now, the app has pushed another update which includes some major improvements for iOS and Android.
Improvements for iOS
The app is now more power-efficient after the latest update. Major improvement in the power efficiency can be seen on the devices running iOS 14.5 or above. According to the developers, the app uses the battery more efficiently due to the new way of handling notifications. Another major improvement is the ability to block spam messages by simply clicking the block option. The UI has improved significantly with the addition of improved animations while receiving, sending, selecting and replying to messages.
Improvements for Android
Signal Android app hasn’t received any major features addition or upgrade. However, the update made changes in the User Interface by optimizing and including new animations. The reaction bar for messages and the conversation message bar also received a major facelift.
These were all the major improvements apart from the regular performance fixes. Signal Messenger is trying to compete in the market by offering improvements through the updates constantly.
