Two new Samsung devices have allegedly surfaced via GFXBench. The devices, numbered SM-G5308W and the SM-G8508S are going to be Samsung’s new entry to mid-range and high-range segments respectively if rumors are to be believed. The SM-G8508S could be Samsung’s answer to Sony Xperia Z1 Compact while the SM-G5308W is rumored to be packing the Snapdragon 410 chipset which is qualcomm’s first 64-bit mobile chipset.
The SM-8508S boasts of a 7.7″ 720p touchscreen, a 12 or 13 MP shutter on the back, and a 2 MP camera on the front. Under the hood you’ll find a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.45 GHz which would put the chipset as the Snapdragon 801 but its is listed as Snapdragon 800, so thats a bit of confusion there. It goes along with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of expandable storage memory. It runs on Android kitkat 4.4.4.
Since the Galaxy S5 Mini has been announced, this device is rumored to be the Galaxy S5 Neo.
The SM-G5308W comes in with a 5″ qHD touchscreen display, a 7 MP shutter on the back and a 2 MP unit on the front. It is powered by a Adreno 306 GPU which suggests that a Snapdragon 410 chipset is being used here along with a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.2 GHz. But you’ll have to compromise with a 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of storage memory. Like the SM-G8505S, it too runs on Android Kitkat 4.4.4.
