At the upcoming MWC 2015 in Barcelona, Samsung is expected to launch Round Smartwatch which will feature wireless charging support.
A report from Sam Mobile reported that all of Samsung’s smartwatches have been guilty of the non-intuitive way of charging, but it seems the company’s upcoming smartwatch will feature a round screen. This watch is codenamed as Orbis and is expected to bring things easier for wearables with wireless charging.
Till now we have not seen any round shaped Smartwatch by Samsung but this time, company is expected to come up with a round shaped smartwatch. Similar patterns have been observed if we consider companies like Motorola and LG. Their models – Moto 360 and LG with the G Watch R were repoertedly circular in shape. There is no information provided as to how the smartwatch will charge. Another report from Sam Mobile revealed that even if company does not put in a lot of features by itself, it will provide a chance to third party developers to build more features around the ring by providing an SDK for developers. It also shared that smartwatch will feature both a crown-shaped power button and a rotating bezel ring on top
Pricing, availability and other features of the SmartWatch are not revealed by the company yet.
