Samsung overhauled the Galaxy A series of smartphones in 2019 by stretching the range to as low as that of now-discontinued Galaxy J series and as high as that of Galaxy S series. The smartphone maker has already launched 2 generations of this series (but only for a couple of models) and has now trademarked 9 new names for the 3rd generation slated to launch throughout 2020.
According to the pictures of trademark applications by Samsung, posted by a user named @_the_tech_guy on Twitter, the South Korean tech giant will be launching at least 9 new Galaxy A series smartphones in 2020. The total count is expected to be more since the company is yet to launch various models with ‘1’ moniker. Having said, below-listed are the newly trademarked names for Galaxy A series by Samsung.
- Galaxy A12
- Galaxy A22
- Galaxy A32
- Galaxy A42
- Galaxy A52
- Galaxy A62
- Galaxy A72
- Galaxy A82
- Galaxy A92
Unfortunately, we do not have any more information about the above-listed Galaxy A series of phones. But we expect them to come with upgraded internals and design to compete with phones from other OEMs in 2020. Apart from the Galaxy A series, Samsung is also expected to launch new models in the Galaxy M series.
