Samsung Starts rolling out January Security Patch on its Galaxy S6

Samsung starts rolling out Android security patch for the month of January 2018. Now Galaxy S6  and S6 Edge starts getting it Europe with the firmware version G920FXXU5ERA5 and G925FXXU5ERA5 respectively. Samsung recently updates there Galaxy S8 , S8+ and A8+ with January security Patch.

The update weighs around 300 MB in size. It includes the January security patch along with some other improvements. The patch includes 91 fixes that Google released this month for the Android operating system. It also includes 13 Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) in the company’s own software.

The update is currently rolling out in Europe, other markets will soon get it. You can check the update by going through the settings>>about phone>>software updates. Note: We suggest you to charge your device up to at least 65% for smooth installation of the update. Also, you can switch to WiFi networks if you have any issues or limit on your carrier network. It will let you to save additional costs from carrier on your data limit.
